Leech Lacteally are really fun to catch.

The common name, "walleye", comes from the fact that their eyes, like those of cats, reflect light. This "eyeshine" is the result of a light-gathering layer in the eyes which allows the fish to see well in low-light conditions. Their eyes also allow them to see in rough, breaking water, therefore anglers look for that "walleye chop" on the lake and search for the freshwater fish in those environments. Their vision also allows them to go deeper into the lake and they like it there particularly in the warmest part of the summer.

Leech Lake;

The walleye is the state fish of Minnesota and South Dakota for that matter. It is so popular that the residents of Minnesota consume more walleye than in any other jurisdiction. Both Garrison and Baudette claim to be the "Walleye Capitol of the World", each of the towns host large statues of the popular fish.

Although other communities boast their walleye prowess, Jeff knows Leech Lake is a haven for the freshwater game fish.
